The Halo series celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, which ought to help explain the title of the upcoming HDmake Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for those who weren't aware. The game hits stores on November 15, but Microsoft revealed today in a press release that those who board the train early with a pre-order will get a couple of unique bonuses.
All Halo: CE Anniversary pre-orders will include a Master Chief outfit for your Xbox Live Avatar and a bonus in-game Skull called "Grunt Funeral" which, when active, causes all downed grunts to explode like a plasma grenade. Neat. Take a peek at how Anniversary is coming along in the new behind-the-scenes featurette up top.

343 Studios says everything is the same but then at the end of this video it shows multiplayer on Battle Creek and a person is being assassinated. Pretty sure that wasn't in the original. Haha

last level of Halo CE, where the grunt says he has a "big grunty thirst" and can't wait to get back to the "food-nipple" on the ship. Might be my favorite Halo easter egg.

I saw a video of the grunt funeral skull in action 343's website. It looks awesome and is going to be giving me some great laughs. I now know that I NEED to pre order it now.

I wasn't all to excited about the release of Halo. But I went to my little niece's bday party and was held against my will by one of my little nephews to play against him in Halo...(he's 9 so he thinks his first gen xbox is a 360). After just a few rounds of playing the lil guy, I forgot how much fun that game was.

I'm looking forward to this. I have Halo on the PC but never got around to beating it. My girlfriend bought me a 360 and Reach for my Bday this year (how awesome is she?) and Im looking forward to going through all of the Halo's :)

Of course you are, 343 studio's. You where made for halo and halo alone. Why would you be excited about telling the story of halo that's been told already. I mean, its not like you have to actually DO anything.

IMO they didn't speak english because bungie probably wanted to save on costs, or production time. just my opinion.

I just hope the Covenant speaks English again (in Halo 4) as they did in all Halo except Reach. God knows why they took that out of Reach in the first place. It was the comic relief I always looked forward to and it never got old. 'You giant bullying monster!!' any other grunt quotes you guys remember?
