Uncharted 3 Beta Extended, Now Ends July 15

The beta for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception launched on June 28 for PlayStation Plus subscribers -- or, really, everyone, since anyone who signed up for the Welcome Back program was still inside their complimentary 30 days of PS Plus at that point -- and was originally set to close yesterday, July 13. That's not the case anymore though. The beta now closes tomorrow, July 15, at 9am PDT, Naughty Dog has confirmed.

So go get in there and shoot some bad guys! There are all sorts of bonuses to earn that you'll be able to carry over to the main game. Hell, just starting the beta up nets you an exclusive avatar. What are you waiting for?

I should be playing it but it's only a beta. I got retail games to finish instead. Hope it's as good as the rest.

GOW3 beta and Uncharted 3 beta get comared.

The results:

- Gears 3 vs Uncharted 3 Ground textures: Gears 3.
- Gears 3 vs Uncharted 3 texture work in general: Gears 3 has better textures work.
- Gears 3 vs Uncharted 3 lighting: Both games have great lighting effects.
- Gears 3 vs Uncharted 3 motion blur: Gears 3.

Remember that both games have been played only in beta form which means that both games might improve visually when both games arrive this year. It will be interesting to see how the final games will turn out to be.

Great news. The Uncharted 3 beta is definitely the best beta of the year and the game will be the best game this year and win all of the GOTY awards just like Uncharted 2 did.
