A couple weeks ago, the folks behind Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon sent us bugs. You know, to eat. Now that the game is out, we've digested the hairy, creeping feelers and antennae of our exoskeleton-wearing friends and are ready to give our thoughts on the menu. Never heard of the game? Don't know why you should care? Well let us catch you up:
"Earth has been invaded and it's up to the good ol' EDF to stop these "ravagers." Set in "New Detroit" this American sequel to the Japanese cult-classic Earth Defense Force 2017 doesn't have a lot on its agenda other than killing lots of oversized insects, robots, and insect robots. Thankfully, there's a myriad of ways to do this, usually resulting in gaining bigger guns to kill bigger bugs in bigger explosions. Truly, this is why videogames were invented."
Sounds like a perfect excuse to go on an insect-crushing rampage to me. I get freaked out by June bugs and tend to flip out around them, so maybe all that pent-up rage towards the little buggers (pun intended) can finally be exorcised with this game!
