Section 8: Prejudice is an exceedingly solid game for the $15 you'll pay for it, especially with developer TimeGate Studios having done such a good job of supporting it post-release. More new content is coming too, in the form of a free-to-download Skirmish mode and a paid Frontier Colonies Map Pack, which adds two new locations to wage a sci-fi war on.
Skirmish is a team-based mode built around earning Victory Points, for scoring kills and completing missions. The twist is that all control points are fixed, meaning they can't be captured or hacked. Skirmish joins Conquest, Swarm and Assault, the last of which was also a free DLC release that arrived shortly after Prejudice came out.
The Frontier Colonies DLC is the second map pack released so far for , after Overdrive. The two new maps are Desolation, set on a desert world, and Overseer, a military complex built overlooking a forested valley. Both maps work with all game modes, including the soon-to-be-released Skirmish.
The map pack comes to Xbox Live tomorrow, July 13, and to PCs later this month, on July 27. There's no date for Skirmish, but it will be available sometime in July as well. Also mentioned on the game's website is the upcoming PlayStation Network release, which is set for this summer.
