Left 4 Dead 2 DLC "Dead Air" will be released early thanks to the gamers who answered Valve's call. Valve asked 20,000 gamers to earn the Stream Crossed achievement by this past Sunday night. They made this request on Wednesday, in just over four hours, 20,000 gamers already got the achievement. By Valve's deadline, that number has reached over 60,000. If you participated, give yourself a pat on the back. Thanks to you, Left 4 Dead 2 DLC Dead Air will be released on July 22, "at the latest," meaning if all goes well, it will be released even earlier.
Valve is still working on The Terminal and Finale maps.

me personally i have a crappy graphics card thus prevents me from playing any high quality games so I'm glad its going to be on Xbox crappy PC y u no work at expectations?

I kind of like how they are working on "migrating" all the classic maps over to L4D2
to one day make it the all around single package for your L4D experience
I think it's a good idea cause I loved the L4D1 maps over L4D2
However I would have like it much sooner like date of release we should have had 1 map from L4D1 already for L4D2

G4 you should have mentioned that the July 22nd release date was for PC only. Xbox release is still TBA.

As much as I love L4D and L4D2, I have never downloaded any of the DLC. Maybe I need to give them a try since I only play them once in a blue moon, and to see what all of the fuss is about.

I don't know how I feel about it. L4D games for me get old way too fast and I bought 2 separate DLC's which turned out to be the same thing so I'll probably pass

Still not a fan of Cold Stream in the slightest, but I can't wait to see what kind of new surprises they have in store to mesh with the L4D2 version of gameplay for Dead Air and whatever else aside from the L4D1 maps they have in store.

I assume that it's great news for people still playing this game. I had tons of fun playing L4D2 but I got burnt out on it a long time ago and moved on. The game will have been out for 20-months by the time they release the dlc. Valve is awesome but I'd rather be playing Portal2 at this time. Which I am enjoying thoroughly!
