Uncharted Movie Update: Neil Burger Signs On To Write, Direct Uncharted Film

More Uncharted 3 Details, Screenshots Released

The Uncharted movie may have found a new writer and director, Neil Burger. Feel free to take a 30 second break to laugh at the last name "Burger." Feel better? Neil would replace David O.Russel who dropped the project in May due to creative differences. Burger, who most recently worked on Limitless, is in talks to take on the film adaptation of Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Mark Wahlberg was rumored to have the role of Nathan Drake in O.Russel's Uncharted. It is unclear if Wahlberg is still attached to the project.

Sony has been adamant about launching the Uncharted movie in hopes of creating their own hero franchise, similar to Indiana Jones. Uncharted is obviously the right IP for that. I'd hate to get your hopes up, but it looks like this movie may happen.

Do you think Burger was the right choice?
