EA's been making a lot of noise lately about its Origin download system, and today, the company has demonstrated and showed off a huge part of the service: Origin Mobile, the portable arm of the system. Origin will connect your mobile gaming and your PC gaming, allowing you to use the same login with both, share leader boards, check on your pals, as well as allowing for some pretty innovative cross-platform gaming.
In the EA Summer Showcase demo, EA employees showed off a game of Scrabble played between four distinct devices, an iPhone, an iPod, an Android and Facebook. Perhaps this is a little glimpse into the future of multiplatform gaming.

So, Origin does something Steam doesn't. Good show, EA. Now incorporate a SWTOR mobile crafting app, and you'll have a winner.
