Cheats and Walkthroughs

I'm not sure the casual gaming world is really prepared for the timesink that is Sid Meier's Civilization series. Not that anyone has much choice in the matter, as 2K Games confirmed today in a press release that the Facebook game Civilization World has officially launched.
The CivWorld beta has been up and running for not too long now, but it was apparently enough time to get the key features in order for a public launch. Like many other highly involved Facebook games, players can access and play CivWorld without spending a dime. CivBucks can be purchased to give yourself a limited number of in-game enhancement and customize your online presence, but the core game is free. Which is a terrifying thought from the perspective of someone who has put in 16-hour marathons on previous Civ games.
Fans of the series that haven't had a chance to check out previews of CivWorld should know that things work a little bit differently in this latest take on Meier's world-building series. There is a much greater focus on cooperating within a large group of people, all of you working together to push your civilization ahead of the competition. Just like any other game in the series, there are a lot of element you need to juggle. The difference here is, you can share the load with your fellow players.
The best way to get a feel for the game is to just try it out. It IS free, after all. Just head over to the CivWorld Facebook app page to get yourself set up.

Lol this should be entertaining seeing "casual" players attempt to play Civ. I hope they know the Civ series is pretty big step up from "Farmville".
