Here's a huge rumor for you: The PlayStation 4 will launch in 2012 and will include full-body, Kinect-style motion control.
The rumor comes by way of Digitimes; they cite unnamed sources that say PS3 assemblers Foxconn and Pegatron Technology will make the PS4, and that the planned shipment volume of the PS4 in 2012 is at least 20 million units.
I contacted Sony, and they said they can't comment on rumors and speculation, but I think you should take this rumor with a huge grain of internet salt (tm) -- some anonymous sources on a foreign website is far from a confirmation. I honestly doubt that Sony is this close to putting out the PlayStation 4. As Sony's Jack Tretton put it a few weeks ago, "PlayStation 3 is really just hitting its stride. And technologically, I don't think it's possible to provide any advancement beyond what we have."
Let's entertain the notion, for a moment, that Sony really does plan to put out a PS4 next year. Are there any advancements you'd like to see in the next-gen PlayStation? Personally, I'd love to see a completely media-less console. No more discs! Everything from a magical cloud! Make it happen, Sony! But I don't care about motion control. What about you? What would you like to see?
