Team Fortress 2 has gone free-to-play. The full TF2 on the PC and Mac can now be downloaded for zero dollars and zero cents. "But how will Valve make money, Nikole," you ask. You won't see in-game ads and you won't be prompted to subscribe but should you want to wear a bitchin new hat, it's going to cost you. Valve will be taking advantage of microtransactions to generate revenue, in fact the idea of making the game free began as soon as they released the Mann-conomy update which added the Team Fortress 2 store.
If you're not playing TF 2 already you have no excuses now. To the PC!
