Everyone here at G4 who's played the game loves Child of Eden. The Rez-like action and amazing visuals earned the game a 5 star rating, but sadly, PlayStation 3 gamers have been left behind by the so-far 360-exclusive. But know hope, PS3-heads; the game's developer, Q Entertainment, is working hard on the PS3 version, and promises it will be more than worth the delay. The word comes by way of Q producer James Mielke on the 8-4 Podcast. Mielke says the company has a team of 30 people working on the PlayStation 3 version of Child of Eden, and it's all being developed in-house.
When asked what, specifically, we can expect from a PS3 Child of Eden, Mielke said, "There's nothing I can really say about it, except that it will definitely be worth the couple months that people have to wait for the PS3 version to get finished. People with PS3s, people with nice TVs, people with all kinds of control options...it's going to be really cool."
Allow me to make some bold prediction:
- It will support the PlayStation Move.
- It will allow for 3D.
I know, I know, I'm really out on a limb here, but seriously, I think both additions will actually add to the game as opposed to being just annoying nonsense. What do you guys think? Have you played Child of Eden yet?
