First for all those idiots who think PS Vita didn't deserve to Win best Hardware.
Nintendo
1. Nintendo did not announce a new console, they announced a new controller at their press conference
2. They showed tech demos and concepts of possible games
3. They barely said anything about the console, everything was about the controller
4. Used other consoles trailer to show what the console can do.
Sony
1. Announced Vita
2. Announced pricing
3. Talked about the hardware
4. Showed games being played on
5. Some more games being played on it.

You are judged at E3 by what you actually show like games and the hardware rather than tech demos and concept trailers. Nintendo didn't even let people touch the Wii U. During all through their press conference they talked about a revolutionary controller and showed pictures which pretty much does the same thing PS3 and PSP has been doing for years and also what PS Vita can also do well except the controller is pretty useless without the console and PS Vita can play PSP games, PS minis, PS Suit games, PS1 games, possible PS2 games, VITA games whose quality are comparable to current home consoles. The hardware is absolutely gorgeous and packed with techs. If you think Wii U should have won, give a reason other than its a home console. The award is for best Hardware not best home console. Even 3DS would have won over Wii U because Nintendo demoed the hell out of it when it was announced at last years E3.
1. Is Wii U the best hardware? No, It does what other home consoles have been doing for like 7 years now which is play HD games.
2. Is the controller Unique? No, Dreamcast was the first controller to have a screen even though it wasnt a 6inch LCD screen.
3. Has there been features from Wii U controller before? Yes, PS3 and PSP do the same thing & more; Stream games from PS3 to PSP, Browse internet from PS3 on PSP, Stream music, videos, pictures from PS3 to PSP, Watch live TV on PSP, US PS Eye to chat from PS3 on PSP, Use PS Eye as security camera from PSP and guess what, you can be half way around the world and still do the same thing. Wii U controller is confined to your home and is useless when the console is turned off.
All that being said, i still want the Wii U. Don't be blinded by fanboism and say Wii U was the best hardware because it wasn't.
