Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary -- What You Don't Know

According to Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer, upcoming reboot Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will support Kinect Motion controls.

In an interview with GameSpot, Spenser said, "As a first party we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse -- even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration."

How that integration will actually work remains to be seen, but if I had to guess, I'd say it will probably not be a core part of how the game is played. I think it will be more like an option that is easily ignored if you choose to. Anniversary features the ability to switch to the visuals and gameplay of the original game at will, so obviously care has been taken for people who want the "authentic" Halo 1 experience.

Hopefully, we'll get to try out Kinect-Halo at 343's "Halo Fest" in Seattle, which runs during PAX East this year.
