Cheats and Walkthroughs
It would have been easy to miss the Minecraft announcement among all the huge reveals of ultra-hyped AAA games at E3 2011, but we love the little indie title Minecraft, and want to make sure you know that a 360 version is in the pipeline.
Here's what we know:
- The 360 version of the game is in development at 4J Studios, the company that made the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the Xbox Live Arcade versions of Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie and Perfect Dark.
- It's Kinect-enabled.
- It will be out on Xbox Live Arcade later this year.
- If you're of a creative mindset and a 360 gamer, it will suck your life away.
So who's looking forward to Kinect Minecraft?

Know what I want to see happen on the console version? I want to see a doubled maximum view distance. If they add that, and have a good SMP solution, I will spend triple the amount of time on this version as I am with the PC version.
Oh and a few optional tweaks would be nice, like water reflection, and light/shadow that corresponded to sun/moon direction. Although that would change up the spawning mechanics drastically...

I really hope for Computer to 360 and vice versa, map compatability, would love to play my hand crafted map on the 360. Also would love some info on hosting minecraft servers from the 360. :)

Yeah they better put multiplayer in here or its going to be disappointing. The only reason I will get this is if I can play with all my xbox buddies because a lot of them don't PC game. I already own it for PC so Im not going to buy it just so I can play on xbox that is just silly.

as long as the kinnect features are optional I'm all for it but if it's just another kinnect game then I'll feel alienated yet again (The Next Fable anyone?) I'll be disappointed if that were the case...

I just hope it stays up to date with the PC version. I have the PC version but I would like to get it on xbox so I can run it smoother but I don't want to be paying for DLC when I have the all updates for free after buying pre beta for PC

unless it has survival multiplayer its pointless. its gonna be interesting to see how this works out. but if no multiplayer then itsa no sale for me.

Well this is just wonderful. My computers are too weak to run Minecraft for very long.
Did anybody else notice the little indie game on Live trying to be Minecraft?

This is going to be awsome! after spending 100+ hours on the pc version i wonder if it will differ at all... oh and 4j is a great developer!

I saw Notch in an interview and he said outright that Microsoft forced Kinect, it was not an option, and he has no idea what it will actually be used for but he knows it wont replace the controller for playing.

I agree with you nightsnipe, I have Banjo-Kazooie and it is perfect. I am super excited for this game to come to the Xbox!!

I have Banjo Tooie and Perfect Dark remakes on XBLA and they did a great job with them. I think the Minecraft port is in good hands
