@Kenelor Rift was at E3, they released showed inforamtion based around the 1.3 patch! Which includes new raid called Hammerknell and a new world wide event (due tomorrow). This MMO report looked more like a "new MMO's to come" episode so that is why it was not shown here.
@Sarid, be a little bit more pleasent when replying to other comments, being pleasent goes a long way!

Such a shame all that time spent on that star wars game _ Sick of hearing about star wars, just way toooo nerdy for me!
Also a shame that The Secret World and Warhammer 40k was not either at E3 or in this report!

I am an eight-year Eve Online player. It is so far advanced over any other game I have ever seen or heard of, that I forebear some silly glitches on the part of the game interface to enjoy the rich game play.
If you have not played it, no amount of glowing review can convey its maddening hook: Its anguish to lose. You can work a year to build a perfect ship, and lose it in ten minutes.
Its not just that its hard, it is because every detail is meaningful.
Politics? Eve had that in 2003. Player, Corporation and faction standings color most of the game play. If you have been shooting Amarr ships for a year, they remember you and shoot you when you enter their space.
Eve is not a game for casual or less than serious play.
Eve, to be frank, is blood sport.
To me, its the best game in the world and I hope you all hate it and leave it alone; it would suck if it became so popular that people might try to make it easier or less painful to lose at.
The world needs a hard game. Eve Online is it.

Can't believe no one else is pointing out the fact Casey said he wanted to ride a Sarlacc mounted with rocket launchers? How would the giant mouth pit move around?

Remember the good ol' days when the MMO Report was delivered on iTunes?
Yeah. I miss those days.

First: crocodilius.. judging by his stats he s not a wizard, any knowledge of D&D will clearly tell you that a 18 chr, 15 wis , and a higher dex than str makes him a bard... the int if you play smart is used for your skills.
Second :no mentioned of EA's new rpg reckoning.. which is setting their stone work for a new mmo named project copernicus.. which btw being written by R A Salvador the creator of Drizzt Do'Urden, and a giant proportion of the D&D campaign setting of forgotten realms, including the underdark. Todd McFarlane is a designer for this game, who also created the fantasy series Spawn. Ken Rolston is also a designer for this game, who was the lead designer of elder scrolls III and the elder scrolls. This is epic! I can t wait for this game to be released.

Good Lord, you and Chris Hager look like long lost twins! How did it feel to be reunited?

Good Lord, you and Chris Hager are long lost twins, me thinks! How did it feel to be reunited?

@Sarid, Trion (with RIFT) was at E3 talking about their next raid, guild vault, etc.
Don't speak unless you know, son.

The stats reference during the whole show made me laugh.

As much as I love EVE and CCP. They are pretty terrible at explaining what their games are, simply because EVE is so complex that it would take forever to explain the BASICS. Within EVE there are 3 major regions/territories High Security/Low Security/ and No(Null) Security. Each territory encompasses a vast amount of solar systems and regions, each with it's own laws and strategies. When I say strategies I don't just mean PVP, it's also PVE, Market, Industry, and how you act. In High Sec you are relatively safe from random people killing you. In Null Sec if you see anyone who is not friendly with you/your corp/your alliance they will kill you on site.
So when the first CCP spokesman goes into a story about how some new player manages to find himself a Low Sec corp, and completely disregards Casey's question, he's trying to explain that the game isn't about touting your 5th prestige or your K/D ratio to people in the game lobby. It's about the adventure you create within a sandbox universe, be it casual gaming in High Sec or turning the tide in a massive campaign alongside thousands of players in Null Sec.
The reason why CCP hasn't directly stated how close the two games, EVE and DUST514, will interact is a two part answer. First, they are still working on it and nothing is set in stone. They still have a year till release and they have to work out not just to make DUST 514 a fun game to play, but also the mechanics that will integrate EVE and DUST514 seamlessly. The Sovereignty system in EVE, which allows player owned alliances to control Null Sec, is COMPLEX BEYOND COMPREHENSION. The seemingly simple task of taking a single solar system requires hours and an armada of ships to ensure it's safety (and that's if the attacker wins in the first assault). With the addition to planetary battles and the promise that they will integrate with EVE's Sovereignty System (or the Sov system will be overhauled to adjust for DUST514) is a gargantuan task that is beyond mortal comprehension.
The kicker is the Sovereignty System is only ONE facet the two games will (hopefully) interact with each other. CCP will have to slay Goliath with a power glove and ramen to somehow create a game that could revolutionize how MMO's are played. All we mere mortals can do is sit and wait.

Cha was the highest, I agree Bard or Sorcerer.
The SWTOR scares me with statements like: We cater to hardcore. We cater to casual. We cater to everyone. When you cater to everyone you get games like AOC and Warhammer Online. Rift went mostly casual and medium players and its doing well... surpringingly very well. WoW teaches us that money is made by casual players. Rift teaches us casual players are everywhere. EvE teaches us that you can be backstabbing and lie and be hardcore. Only if EvE had a better interface and overal game play. I would love to see CCCP behind a SWTOR like MMO. As long as I dont have to wait 2 days to learn SWORD +3 then 14 days for Sword +4 and 2 monrhs of Sword +5.

I love the idea of a political system in an MMO. You no longer have to be the grunt. No more random fetch quests for this guy!
