Mass Effect 3 Marketing To Focus On Female Shepard -- My Whining Paid Off

The Mass Effect franchise's marketing has always heavily focused on male Shepard while promoting ME1, ME2 and so far, ME3. While I can't complain about how male Shepard looks (because he's pretty), I do think it's weird that EA and BioWare have chosen to focus on the wrong Shepard. It turns out I'm not the only person who identifies Commander Shepard as a female. BioWare's David Silverman confirmed via twitter that a female Shepard trailer was on the way. "...There will be a #FemShep trailer. We actually had a meeting on her yesterday. We are working on the look now."

Female Shepard has long been hailed as the better acted Shepard, mostly by me. The credit for that goes to Jennifer Hale and her amazing voice acting. Since many gamers, both male and female, prefer female Shepard, there was a demand to see more trailers that featured her. In true internet fashion, if you whine about it enough, they will change it.

I'm curious, how many G4 readers play with a female Shepard too?
