E3 2011 might be grower smaller and smaller in our rear view mirrors, but that doesn’t mean we’re done nerding out about all the ridiculous sights and sounds burned into our brains from the show. Seriously, some things can never be unseen (a Kinect-powered jockey game, anyone?). Still, it was a solid show with tons of great titles on display, which is why for this week’s Feedback, Adam Sessler welcomes Matt Keil, Emily Gordon, and yours truly to discuss G4’s Best of E3 2011 nominations. Also on the chatting block is Sucker Punch’s supercharged sequel inFamous 2. It’s a full show, so quit reading this, and watch now!

Regarding the downbeat commentary on BattleField 3 from Adam and Co.:

Everyone is of course entitled to their own opinions on the pace and content of the E3 trailer - but to discount a game that is clearly superior to MW3 on almost every level - ....

    - Improved Graphics Engine
    - Sound and Voice
    - Vehicular Combat
    - Fully Destructible / Realistic Environs
    - Expansive Multiplayer maps
    - Engaging / Realistic Singleplayer mode
    - Scale of Weapons / Loadouts
    - Free Stat tracking and Social modes

...seems to indicate either an innocent subjective prefrence for one, or a hidden agenda to support an american publisher (MW3) putting out the same game for the third year in a row vs. a Swedish studio.

The better game will stand on its own, and rise to the top, and protectionism will be exposed as it should be as a compromise of ethics.

Infamous 2 is awesome. I'm almost finished with my first run through the good side. Every time I've got a new ability, I've been amazed by the variation of powers. Having recycled enemies was really my only complaint too, but the side missions were a lot less repetitive than the first.

There was subtle humor in the first game also. In early trailers, I remember seeing parodies of Circuit City, which was where I worked. They went bankrupt, and when the game came out the stores had Going Out Of Business signs. That little detail made my day.

I couldn't disagree more about BF3. There was absolutely nothing boring about the tank demo shown to me. We've already seen ground combat from BF3, and what sets this game apart from the others is the vehicle combat. It was absolutely stellar and I was blown away. I can't say I'm surprised by this considering these are the same people who actually think Black OPS was a 5/5.

When they were talking about Battlefield 3, I can see it now, B3 will get at most a 4 out of 5, while MW3 will get a perfect 5 out of 5 with little criticism like no mention of a short single-campaign as a con like with previous Call of Duty games.

Regarding ME3, good thing Kinetic isn't mandatory to play it, but I rather Bioware put more time on bringing back the RPG elements that were missing in ME2 instead of making the game Kinetic compatible.

Wish they would release all the E3 demos on the consoles after E3 was over. At least that way I could of experience first hand all the great games they had

What happened to voice recognition in a game because it enhances the experience and the cheaper way of including it we all have headsets for the 360 right? im not sure if the kinect really changes anything about the voice recognition compared to a headset. a game i would love to believe in hasnt been drawn out of the closet in two years. what ever happend to KINGDOM UNDER FIRE 2 nothing has been shown of it in awhile. Why does EA believe the old republic can take down WOW it makes no sense the reason it is the elite game is because of the early exposure of the game and genre at the same time. The EA mindset of lately is to take "THE BIG GUYS" down including tony hawk, call of duty, guitar hero, WOW, and UFC. they are trying so hard but the problem is they dont have the transferring or unexposed fanbase to join them. the old republic will become like the other mmos but will recede so uncomfortably that this wil seem like a failure although they tried i believe they shouldn't anymore. Taking down the behemoth of WOW is LIKE (figuratively in my opinion) replacing television not seeably possible in my eye. they can only compete in its shadow and i hope they are ready for that reality
The lack of my questions being asked or answer caused me to write this.

the 3ds costs $100 to make. im wondering how much the ps vita costs to make because if its more than there is less wiggle room in cast there is a turf battle and the price of the 3ds and the vita need to be dropped. if the vita is relativly more expensive to make than the 3ds nintendo could have an upper hand in production costs, so it is possible for nintendo to win if the vita cost more to make than the 3ds.

    im just speculating.

    @ Matt Keil

I 110% agree with your comment on Elizabeth's bust line. The first time they showed her like that I immediately made my opinion known on the Bioshock Infinite facebook page. Obviously my comments got lost in the rat race, not like they would listen to me anyways. Every demo or clip I see with her boobs falling out just doesn't seem conducive to the game world. Watching the demo at E3 I was absolutely amazed at what I saw; however, I did get knocked out the immersion when those hoots came flying out. Those knockers are definitely out of place in Bioshock. I told myself I ever met Ken Levine I would speak my mind on it. I did meet him and pretty much forgot my name...

So with Mass Effect 3, do you actually have to spend $150 on the Kinect just to use the voice commands or can I just use the headset I already have? It doesn't even use any motion controls so why call it Kinect enabled?

Lara wasn't grunting as much as she was gasping... Not much better.

I'll be getting Skyrim and Skyward Sword in November. If i have any extra... i'll save it. My friend will get Halo Anniv. So I'm good.

Spaceman Spiff! Calvin and Hobbes, ftw.

I've made plans to buy the Wii U. Not official plans, and i haven't any money, but i plan to plan on getting it. For now. I'm interested, anyway.

My sister doesn't play much more than Pokemon. She played Fables 2 and 3, the Mass Effects, and sometimes she tries Zelda. But she could never bring herself to play Bioshock. She was fascinated by it, but it was too scary, so Infinite has her attention.

Wait till Matt plays Evil Cole. Evil Cole is roughly 93.87 % more badass than Good Cole. Even playing at the hardest level as Evil Cole felt easier than playing Good Cole on normal.

I completely agree that they should have you fight more conduits and less grunts. Even the ice spamming ice giants became pushovers after a while.

The only other issue I have with the game is how some of the stunts are broken. If you beat the game twice going good and evil, you gain access to all powers no matter what morality path you've chosen. Some of the powers will stay locked even after you've hit the required number of successful stunts.

For instance, I currently have 18 of 10 precision headshots but still no reward for hitting the 10 of 10 requirement. It's a shame because I need the Great Power trophy for the platinum :(
