Homefront developer Kaos Studio has been closed according to THQ. In a statement, THQ said that the move is a, “strategic realignment within its internal studio structure.” THQ also closed their UK studio Digital Warrington who had been working on Red Faction: Battlegrounds and Warhammer 40k: Kill Team. As for Homefront's future? THQ's Montreal studio will overtake product development and creative management on the franchise, as they collaborated closely with Kaos on Homefront. Back in January THQ confirmed that they had plans to create Homefront 2, so perhaps the game is still in development. No word on the future of the other games yet.

All i gotta say is keep homefront the same.. but make solo story longer

While this is bad new for a lot of people, after playing the recently released demo I'm not surprised.

Well I think the biggest problem with Homefront is they went MW2 (with a super short Single Player Campaign) and focuses on MP but MP wasn't good enough to warrant 60 Bucks.
MP was a bit unbalanced in my mind. Using drones is fun until you waste 1600 BP right in a row with drones and realize if your guy dies so does your drone. Because then you don't want to use drones unless you are hiding under a crate on the edge of the map.
But THQ has been trying to move everyone to Canada for a while now.
I wonder if Kaos Chefs will stay on with UbiSoft of if he's going to be leaving... I also wonder if this signals the end of DLC for Homefront.

I like homefront and im looking forward toward homefront 2 if they still make it. i dont really care about graphics all long as i can tell what going on. The campaign was too short and the multiplayer is fun and different . it was not call of duty and thats what made it fun it was something new

It is always sad to see a developer shut down.
As for Home Front getting bad reviews, that was because the story was horrible. It was probably the worst writing I have seen in the last 20 or 30 years. And the saddest part is that the Kaos studios had very little to do with the story writing. All the writing was done by some Hollywood movie writer who pretty much knew nothing about how to write for a story for a video game.

Homefront is not that bad of a game. im sorry everyone has to think that every fps has to live up to COD or Battlefield.. for that being there first FPS the game had a great story line and really good graphics. Its HOMEFRONT not CALL OF DUTY let me remind you. Yes homefront did need some work but its still fun thats why its called a video game. I hope they do make Homefront 2

I've heard nothing BUT bad reviews for Homefront, why would they think Homefront 2 would be a good idea? Either way, only feel sad for the people now looking for jobs, probably a smart decision for THQ though.
