Codemasters was hacked on June 3, when a security breach gained access to several branches of the Codemasters network and may have compromised Estore customers' personal information. The usual password reset suggestion and warning of "we will never ask for your password over email" was given to those affected, along with details about the attack.

The names, usernames, screen names, dates of birth, encrypted passwords, email addresses, IP addresses, biographies entered by users, details of last site activity and Xbox Live Gamertags were all accessed in the breach. And while Codemasters stated in their email that they couldn't confirm the data was downloaded, "we have to assume that, as access was gained, all of these details were compromised and/or stolen."

Codemasters is the publisher behind titles like the Overlord and DiRT series (DiRT 3 pictured above). They are accepting inquiries as of June 10, and directing those with questions or concerns to their customer service team.
