Here's a fun piece of inside-baseball style gossip for video game heads: According to a "senior informant" quoted by Computer and Video Games, at E3 this year, Activision Head Bobby Kotick wanted a chance to check out a behind-closed-doors presentation of Battlefield 3, EA's war game going up against Activision's Modern Warfare 3 this fall. Kotick's assistant asked that Kotick be put on the proverbial list for the closed-door demo, but EA's senior people were like,"denied!" and refused to let him in to see the game. Activision's camp has denied the incident took place at all.
Personally, I doubt Kotick would have his assistant ask to get in to see the game in the first place, so I doubt this happened, but still, it's such a juicy story, I want it to be true.
