This week's Feedback is coming at you from in the trenches of E3, so it's time for you to stop rewinding the coverage over and over to get a better look at the Wii U and just ask us instead. Of what you've seen so far, what do you want to know more about? Whose opinions do you want on the games, the trailers, the news, and everything else? How do you feel about how the big three fared against each other? Ask away, and we will answer. So say we all!

Other question: Transfarring, or in broader terms carrying a save from the PS3 version of a game to the Vita version.. I'm concerned because not only was this specifically mentioned, but touted as a 'great thing'. Didn't Sony and it's contributing third parties learn that the PSP's success was hampered by publishers porting carbon copy titles over from the PS2?

All the Wii U demonstrations used 1 screened controller, even in multiplayer examples. Will the hardware drive more than 1 controller screen? Does the system multitask, say a Wii game on the television and the Othello example played on the screened controller?
Metal gear collection, Metal gear 3d, Shadow/Ico collection, Halo anniversary, Ocarina of Time 3D, God of War Origins, Sly Cooper collection.. Is the industry running out of ideas or have they locked their best people in a windowless cell working on some prototype hardware we'll be talking about in the next year or two?

With Sony's PS3 available (to those who can afford it) and Nintendo's Wii U on the way, do you thing that the 360 is beginning to show it's age? Granted, as a gamer, I am thankful for Microsoft using the current hardware for as long as possible, but its processing speed and graphic fidelity are beginning to wane in comparison to the other consoles. Having been six years since the 360's initial release and with rumors circling the internet of Microsoft developing their next console, what do you think Microsoft is going to do keep the edge in the console market?

Vita has the same price point as the 3DS. I think the console wars are back on. Thoughts, G4?

Each year after watching E3 me and my friends have a debate on which company did the best job. With all the different opinions we can never a mutual agreement on who the 'winner' is. I was wondering if you guys had different opinions about each conference like me and my friends do.
Who do you guys think the 'winner' of E3 is?

Nintendo finally releases a console that s supposed to usher in the next generation and appeal to hardcore gamers and they neglect to tell us about the specs that matter most for hardcore games, never mind that the graphics look on par with the PS3 and 360 when they should be superior. Instead, Nintendo focuses on a controller that looks uncomfortable to hold and challenging to use, neglect to show us a meaningful way in which it will positively impact traditional games, and they once again focus on casual uses of the technology. Do you have any ideas for how touch pad and motion control technologies could be better integrated into more traditional games and do you think Nintendo has grabbed the attention of "hardcore" gamers or further alienated them?

what kind of presentation do you like to see as game reporters? do you prefer being told about new consoles, games, or just seeing interesting gimmicks attached to a new i.p. in other words how do you like to be told that whatever they're trying to sell you is a great thing?

With Nintendo's Wii, they alienated hard core gamers by focusing on accessibility. Now they're saying the Wii U will bridge the gap by giving it deep gameplay and wide appeal. Do you feel they're truly on the right track or is this another pipe dream? And what ways do you envision using this new controller to make the experience a satisfying one for hardcore (or even average) gamers?

How well do you think the 3DS will compare to the Playstation Vita? Seeing as the PSP never did to terribly well in the hand held market. The only other thing would be understanding more about the Wii U. With the Wii we got motion control, from what I have gathered the Wii U will also have a form of motion control along with a touch pad on the controller. So this is where I ask about significant differnces between the two since I get the feeling that Wii U is nothing more than a Wii where you can connect your DS or various versions of the DS to your Wii and use that as the controller.

With the 360 and PS3 already having a firm hold on the hardcore, what would the Wii U have to do to make it a relevant console for the hardcore? Do you think its feasible for Nintendo and third party developers to try to cater to the hardcore or is it too little, too late?

Playstations 3DTV is a great idea, as it finally lets 2 players have a full screen to look at, instead of split screen. When you see it, you say, of course.
However, this seems to simply be a trick that can be done with any 3D TV, one set of glasses gets one frame (player 1) and the other set of glasses gets the 2nd frame (player 2)
The question is, isn't this dual player method something that could be employed by virtually any gaming system. Simply support 3D. It seems like you might only need to have a special set of glasses, that rather than alternating frames between the left and right lens, you have one set of glasses for player one, and one for player two.
So any gaming system would only need a glasses tranmitter plugged into their system with a pair of glasses, and it should work on any 120Hz 3D capable TV.

I have been rather disappointed with the quality of journalism in the gaming industry, most "news" is just copied and pasted directly from a press release with almost no opinion or comment from the journalist. There are a lot of bad games that, if you just see the previews on game sites, look like they are really good because all you see is "it looks interesting", or some other non committal comment about the quality of the game.
I realize that developers and publishers can pick and choose who gets review copies early in order to get the highest pre-release reviews possible, but should that hinder us from letting the average gamer know when we think a game mechanic is janky? How do you think we can help gaming journalism improve.

Is it just me or was this year's E3 like a 6. You'd sleep with it, but not ask it to be your girlfriend. OR For those of us who follow game news closely, watch Feedback, listen to Podcasts, belong to multiple websites and Twitter will E3 ever pack the punch it did in the past? Is there too much information out there for people to be surprised?

Given the emphasis Nintendo seemed to place on the connection between existing Wii controllers/peripherals and the Wii U, do you think the Wii U is more of a way in which Nintendo can extend the life of the Wii? That is to say, Nintendo has saturated the market with Wiis, and it is clear that the system is finally losing steam. Instead of creating an entirely new console (as there is seemingly nowhere to go with the Wii) Nintendo has developed Wii U which, although it is technically a new piece of hardware to purchase, seems to be a way for Nintendo to avoid abandoning those many people who own Wiis while still allowing for a step in a new direction. Of course whether this direction is the right one or not remains to be seen. What do you think of this strategy? Do you see Wii U as a true follow-up to the Wii or as more of an "expansion," in a sense? Great coverage of E3, and keep up the excellent Feedback!

What would you sat if the overarching theme of this years E3?If the theme of last year's E3 was motion control, I would venture to place this years' theme as "differentiation" I think Sony went 3D, Nintendo went ??? (pronounced whaaaaaa), and MSoft stuck with motion control. Each trying to carve out a deeper niche for themselves. Overall a good thing for gamers, but definitive that Nintendo is still the true hardware innovator in the industry.

As a Halo fan I was disappointed with the announcement of the 10th anniversary re-release of Halo CE. What I and everyone else I know wanted was Halo CE multiplayer on XBOX Live exactly as it was, not a port to Halo Reach. The experience will not be the same without the original settings (i.e. 3 shot pistol, grenading weapons and power-ups, etc.) There is no incentive for me to purchase the re-release because I still own the original and don't really care if they make it look prettier. I think the sales for the game will be subpar and wish Microsoft would have listened to those of us who have been dedicated Halo fans since day one. What are your thoughts on this and will you purchase the re-release?

I'm not going to ask about the WiiU or what excited you guys at E3. Since by watching E3 on G4 I get what games have your nerdmeter up at 11. What I would like to ask is what did you think was missing? Were there games that you know about that didn't make it to the show? Was there a lack of cool downloadable games? Maybe some good 3rd party 3DS games? Anything you didn't see that makes you wonder what the status of it is?

Second question is about Japanese influence at the actual conferences. Microsoft had absolutely nothing from japanese developers, Sony just showed off Tekken, and Nintendo was mostly first party stuff. Do you see this as a testament to how future E3 shows will be about? Mostly run by the west and Europe?
exiled_vagrant
One thing that bothered me about the conference was the amount of shooter based games, whether they be first or third person. Basically every conference showed off a shooter as one of there helm project and I want to know could they be reaching a peak of saturation anytime soon? I love shooters but I wish they take a back seat to more innovative titles out there
