Day two of E3 2011 has come to a close, and as this intern sap sits in a cubicle that's not even mine, reviewing trailers, news and previews from the show floor, a thought occurs: I ought to share this information with you, our lovely audience. Now I'm only going to post our top five video picks of today, but you can also check out the day one video picks and of course, all of our E3 2011 videos as well. That all said, what do you say to starting off tonight with Mass Effect 3?

Official Mass Effect 3 Gameplay Trailer »

Commander Shepard has taken some lessons from the handbook of "How To Be A BAMF" in this trailer, stabbing fools with hard light and shooting at baby Reapers with a mobile turret. It looks like an action-packed finale to this epic series.

Hit the jump to check out a certain female Tomb Raider, lots of cars smashing together to make a hunk of Twisted Metal, an absolutely Super Mario 3D trailer, and Rayman Origins. Yeah, I couldn't think of a pun for that last one.

Microsoft Tomb Raider Gameplay Demo E3 2011 Video »

Lara Croft is beaten, battered and bruised in this iteration of Tomb Raider, a significant departure from her dual-pistol, hotpants days. It's looking a little like one of my favorite scary movies, The Descent, so count me excited. It certainly doesn't hurt that it looks absolutely gorgeous though, does it?

Twisted Metal E3 Gameplay Demo »

Anyone else remember this franchise from yonder days of mayhem? Well, this new title, simply titled Twisted Metal, is looking pretty bleak in the greatest of ways. Chase, race and destroy your opponents in this brutal arcade racing shooter.

Official Super Mario 3D E3 Trailer »

Okay, so there was no new IP from Nintendo's press conference. But between Zelda's 25th anniversary, the Wii U reveal and the full orchestra, we can glance over that minor setback. And this trailer for a brand new Mario title, built from the ground-up for Nintendo 3DS, certainly doesn't hurt. Looks like a mix of New Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Galaxy, don't you think?

Rayman Origins E3 Gameplay Demo »

While this platformer may lack the mainstream recognition of the one above it, its beautiful presentation and quirky characters are not easily dismissed. Rayman Origins from Ubisoft is the little game that could, resurrecting a neglected franchise and growing from a planned episodic release to full retail game. Cute and capable. We approve.

But these are just a sampling. Don't forget we have an entire page of E3 2011 videos just waiting for your fingers to click that pretty link. Have fun, but don't stay up too late! We've got lots more incoming tomorrow.
