As if to underscore the Nintendo WiiU's commitment to "core" gamers, Nintendo invited Electronic Arts' head John Riccitiello onstage at its E3 2011 press conference to show off EA's upcoming WiiU games. Riccitiello revealed Battlefield for WiiU and Madden for WiiU.
The new console won't be in stores until 2012, so there's no real idea of what iteration of Battlefield or Madden will appear on the machine, but EA is committed to bringing these two iconic franchises to Nintendo at some point. Stay tuned. More information as we get it.

I think the concept of the Wii U is genius. Tablet computers have to balance weight, performance, and power consumption; but the U puts the performance and power consuming part at the wall making it so they don't have to make a heavy, power consuming tablet if they don't to sacrifice performance. The only problem is the implementation. I gotta say, the controller isn't pretty and i'm not confident in a Nintendo web browser or just Nintendo software in general.
