At its E3 2011 press event this morning, Nintendo showed off four of its most popular franchises for the Nintendo 3DS system -- Mario Kart, Super Mario, Starfox and Kid Icarus -- as well as announcing a 3D version of old favorite Luigi's Mansion 2.
All of the 3D versions of these games will take advantage of appropriate features of the 3DS. Kid Icarus will use the system's tilt sensor to help you pilot Kid Ic through the sky, and StarFox will allow co-op players to see each other as they pilot ships in tandem.
Mario 3DS will be out in 2011. Expect a holiday season release for Mario Kart 3DS. Starfox comes out this September, and Kid Icarus is "coming soon," according to Nintendo.
