An Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception demo started the Sony E3 2011 Press Conference off with a bang. It opened with Nathan Drake, poolside on a run down cruise ship in the pouring rain. The ship is rocking back in forth, as Nathan makes his way inside. Everything is in shambles and there's no one to be seen but a few guards. He silently makes his way through the ship and takes out the guards, then makes his way back outside, where he takes out another guard.
He stealthily makes his way back inside the ship, using the cover of a wall to take out a heavily armed guard, and then proceeds deeper into the depths of the vessel. Every single detail is well pronounced, down to the fan blades. In the fan room, some of the platforming of Uncharted 3 is shown off as Nathan makes his way down to the bottom floor of the room. Nathan gets caught down here, and as he's about to be captured he whips out a grenade to take out a guard, as well as a pistol to shoot down a few guards that are up on the ledge.
Unfortunately a car that was in the depths of the ship runs into an explosive crate, causing the room to flood. "I've got to get out of here!" Nathan shouts, as the room begins to flood. The water looks looks real, you can feel Nathan's watery terror as the ships rooms fill with more and more water. Eventually, after a few quick time events Nathan makes it out of the depths of the ship and gets a second to breath. But not for long, as he's standing there the water once again comes out from underneath him and slams him into the camera, where the demo ends.
Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra from Naught Dog also announced that during the month of October, fans of Uncharted can go to Subway stores to get access to the entire multiplayer experience.
