For the first time ever in a Need For Speed game, Need For Speed The Run, will take the action outside of the car and on foot as announced during EA's E3 2011 Press Conference. Finally the title "The Run" makes sense!
During the on stage demo, the character was seen leaping rooftop to rooftop, escaping helicopter bullets, and even narrowly getting away from a train crash. All of the on foot events seemed to be quick time events, meaning the player just has to press the "X" button when the "X" pops up on screen, but nevertheless it still looked really awesome.
