Mass Effect 3 Release Date Announced; Coming March 6, 2012

Mass Effect 3 has a release date: March 6, 2012.

BioWare just made the announcement at EA's E3 2011 press conference, where the game is being demoed at this very moment. More details to follow.

good, better they take the time to get it right. Besides, theres Elder Scrolls Skyrim coming out this fall will probably be more than enough to tie me over till Mass Effect 3 comes out. Oh and BTW; i don't see the whole omni-blade is a rip off of the halo energy sword thing at all.

Considering just about any sci-fi game that isn't a spaceship game has energy blades. The idea is nothing new, having it flip out from his omni-tool is really neat and the video looks awesome. I for one can't wait for to play, but am glad about the delay because that means they are being meticulous and making sure it does what ME2 did compared to ME1

So having an 'Energy sword' in this game is 'rip-off' of HALO, you got to be joking rigth? I mean doesn't "Star Wars" have an energy/plasma blade-type weapon. And I'm pretty sure "Star Wars" wasn't the first one with such weapons.

I, for one, am glad that it was delayed. If the game isn't ready; it's not ready.

I'd rather that Bioware puts time and resources into the game and not do something like Dragon Age II. DAII appeared to be a rush job right from the beginning.

Oh! I see what they did!

They took a game, said it was coming out Holiday 2011 and then decided to delay it (which they could've/should have just kept their mouths shut about a release timetable from day one) to March so they could have a clever picture for the release date Promotions!

Sweet! But on a side note, I'm not a fan of the new LaserLightsword Melee weapon. If I wanted to play Halo I'd play Halo... Because that looks like a rip off of a Halo weapon.
