Fable: The Journey will be the fourth entry in to the Fable series, and will come out on the Xbox 360 and PC. Fable: The Journey was announced by Peter Molyneux moments ago during Microsoft's E3 2011 Press Conference. The game will feature Kinect support, and in the demo the player was using his hands to control the horse reins as well as magic missle spells to kill goblins. It will be releasing in Fall 2012. More details to follow during our extensive E3 coverage.

Couldn't stop feeling this was like the move tech demo that Sony showed off at last e3, I think it was called Sorcery, and I just got sad since I love Fable so much.

What a joke.

Peter Molyneux: "Fable: the Journey will revolutionize the rpg genre by actually being a third-person shooter!-- Oh wait we did that last year when we took every rpg element out of the game, oh, well lets just add in a few more Kinect actions and rehash the taking over of the throne plot for the fourth time."
Am I the only one here that liked all the variety in weapons and armor that the first one had? I personally like having tons of options to make my character unique

That demo at E3 was atrocious. Fable gets worse with every game and sold less so now they are forced to release it on PC too to recoup some sales. Fable 2 has an 89 on Metacritic but Fable 3 drop 9 points to an 80 on Metacritic. I predict Fable: The Journey to have a 70 on Metacritic.

I... Found this to be the low point on the Press Conference. Everything was going well then... this one. I love Fable, and I liked Fable 3, loved Fable 2... But this is just so... Rail shooter with hand gestures. I cannot express my disappointment enough. I wish Fable could just... take some time to develop a really good game.

It's an adult Zelda, nice to know about but fall 2012 is a ways off.

It's motion controlled.
This isn't a legit Fable Game.
Just a gimick experiment with an Original IP.
Pass.

Not entirely sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it's Fable. But if the whole game is in a first person view, I'm not so sure I'd enjoy it as much. Plus it looked like the action just drags you along, and you react to whatever may pop up to attack you. I prefer controlling where I go.

I would be really excited about this... but after the let down of Fable 2 and the burn on Fable 3... I am really skeptical about this installment. I loved the first Fable, and the Lost Chapters version, not withstanding my personal gripes about them... I did like Fable 2 but I felt it missing something that the original had.. and Fable 3 was no more than a even more simplified interface version of Fable 2 with less content and FORCED multiplayer.
I am holding judgement until more info comes out, but I may keep this on the back burner over a game that is a must have like Mass Effect 3.... you've hurt me too many times Peter.
