Infinity Ward revealed that the first map packs for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will launch first on Xbox 360, as they have for the previous Modern Warfare titles.
IW also demoed MW3 live during Microsoft’s E3 2011 press conference today, showcasing a level called “Hunter Killer” set in New York City harbor. The demo started underwater, with a squad using personal submarine units to navigate the enemy sub-infested waters of the coast off Manhattan.
After detonating a mine on one such enemy sub, the squad surfaces, revealing the Manhattan skyline under attack. The squad then climbs up the side of the sub and enters, clearing out the enemies inside.
Returning to the surface, the squad jumps onto speedy lifeboat and a spectacular dash ensues, as the boat dodges between battleships being blown to pieces in an all out siege on New York. Narrowly avoiding explosions of all sizes, and with waves crashing down all around, the boat drives into a waiting helicopter, which promptly air lifts the squad out, revealing a stunning view of NYC in ruins.

the reson that ps3 users will not get the new dlc b4 xbox is that xbox usres pay 4 the services and ps3 dont so there 4 xbox gets the dlc 1st. may b if the ps3 users payed 4 th services they would get it at the same time think about it.

If you are only a founder for MW3 Elite yes you do get the map packs for free as well as double xp and 500 xp for the clan your in but the founder status is no longer available which is a stupid thing because there are some in clans who wants to have the clan xp go up when some are in their clan and they want to be in it so they want want to put their xp towards the clan. I am a ps3 user and i think it would be better for it but if i remember right you can get the map packs for free if you're a Premium user

Is this true for Call of Duty Elite Members that have a Premium Membership? I am aware that with the Premium Membership we get the Map Packs included, but if you are on the ps3 (like me) will you get them the same time as Xbox Users? --Thanks

get the elite pack for an extra 50 bucks they haved relesed so far ther will be $120 of dlc with the elite its 50 bucks and as soon as you get on it will down load the dlc by its self.

While a totally bad ass demo, there's no way it'd be that easy.
The sub would hear you, first of all. Although I admit that given how busy the harbor is, you might get overlooked.
There's more launch security than that.
Probably need bigger mines than those.

I got tired of the PS3 coming first and the 360 getting left behind so I got the PS3. Then the network went down and the 360 is getting all of the attention or so it seems. Im just gonna buy a Wii so I don't have to get my hopes up for a new awsome gaming expirience.

Im upset that MW3 extra maps are being handed to the 360 and other gamers like PS3 users have to wait. However I hope that Battlefield 3 and gohst recon future soldier can match MW3 on the FPS multiplayer level.

Microsoft and MW's game creators probably have a deal somewhere. But eh, more power to the 360 players; PS3 ones are just gonna have to wait it out like the usual. XD

So your telling me that PS3 is getting screwed again. What if you pay for the elite package every month you still going to make paying customers wait a month longer for maps. That doesn't seem fair. That's weak

Sadly, I couldn't care less about the campaign. They should have showed off the multiplayer, as that has been the main reason why CoD has been so successful over the years. Hell, it's been the series main focus since CoD 4.

Yeah the video didn't show off anything cool other then the way the boat reacted when it hit the Wake of the other boats.
I wasn't impressed by the 'breach' and then 'slow down' Especially since it seems like instead of slow down everything just stopped for a second.
In the end I don't like activision... but after playing HomeFront (which was an ok start for an original IP) I did realize that the reason why CoD is untouchable is because... it's CoD and been doing this so long.
I decided to try the new Battlefield game though so I'm pumped for that.

MSFT should spend less money on getting first dibs for DLC on a FPS game that's more of an expansion Pack for MW2 and more on new fresh IP's.

The demo showed nothing that we haven't seen in previous versions to include the obligatory "breach the door then go in slo-mo" that Activision thinks is cool but is just the same old-same old.
