The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will be coming to the Xbox 360 later this year. CD Project RED and GOG.com announced that The Witcher 2 will be coming to the system, and that it will not be compromised for quality in any way. According to the developers, the game will continue to look "awesome," will be complete and mature, and will feature the same 16 possible endings as the PC version. All of the recently announced improvements to the game will also be included in the Xbox 360 edition as well.
The 360 version will be playable at E3, and we'll be checking it out to let you know how it plays. The Witcher 2 has been impressing PC gamers since it came out last month (just check out our own Witcher 2 review), and just last week signs pointed towards a possible Xbox 360 version of the game. An ESRB listing for the title mentioned that it was PC and Xbox 360, but the Xbox 360 listing mysteriously vanished. Looks like the ESRB just jumped the gun a bit.
The PC version of The Witcher 2 has sold over 400,000 copies so far, and that number will certainly grow when The Witcher 2 is released for the Xbox 360 later this year. If you're looking to jump into the original PC version of The Witcher to bone up on the story, you can still pick it up for $9.99 at Amazon.
