Mortal Kombat's Skarlet shows off her moves in MK's latest gameplay trailer. The red female ninja has humble beginnings as a glitch in Mortal Kombat 2. Gamers dubbed her Skarlet, but it turns out she was just Kitana with a color glitch. I don't know if you noticed but she likes the color red. When she's in a fight there's plenty of it, red on the floor, red oozing from wounds, and a very small red outfit. I think color coordination is too often ignored in games. Good for her for going the distance.

Some people had unlocked her months ago by hacking the character out of the game files. Look up "mortal kombat 9 scarlet" on YouTube, and there's plenty of videos of her gameplay, even though she's missing her weapons.

I didn't even know there WAS such a color glitch in MK2! They made a whole character based off of that?

I personally wish they would of given us another character other then Skarlet. She is just another Kitana/Mileena clone. How about Shinnok or Motaro?
