Everyone's favorite oil-slicked showboat, Hulk Hogan, has a Kinect game coming, so get set for Hulkamania to run wild all over your damn living room. Hulk Hogan's Main Event is a 360 exclusive set to launch this fall.
"Listen up, people! You will feel the power of Hulkamania when you step into this game,” said Hulk Hogan via press release. “Whether you are taking the damage or selling the pain, this game will let you unleash your inner wrestler as you hype up the crowd while putting the hurt on anyone that stands in your way!”
I, for one, am looking forward to putting the hurt on my cat. That little pussy has been standing in my way too long.
While the game seems like a bit of a cash-in on a once-ubiquitous name, it does offer an interesting wrinkle in the wrestling game genre: At least part of the game concerns the all-important showmanship of wrestling. Players will "build their own wrestling personalities and learn the art of showmanship to win over the crowd," according to the press materials. Expect lots of posing, flexing, and otherwise looking ridiculous in front of your TV.

"In Hulk Hogan’s Main Event, players will learn the ropes from the man himself as Hulk Hogan schools them on delivering the best show for the crowd by emulating famous Hulk poses and performing more than 30 punishing combos. The Kinect sensor tracks players’ every move; the more dynamic the motion, the more high impact the wrestler’s performance is. Players will create their own unique wrestler personality through a robust create-a-wrestler feature including many choices for face, hair, tattoos, outfit, ethnicity, body type, and entrance music. Perform in nine different venues including the backyard brawl, local gym and giant stadium in front of a massive audience. Enter tournament mode for two player tag-team and take turns delivering extreme moves. Best of all, players can wield a variety of damaging objects including metal chairs and ladders to deliver bone-jarring hits to their opponents."

For the everyday gamer, this doesn't sound all too exciting, except maybe with heavy drinking involved and a few of your friends. But for a die hard wrestling fan, I can see how they would enjoy this..if it was done right.

The face thing is odd....it's kinect....shouldn't one be able to use his or her own face? hell the non-kinect games should let you put your own face in by now...

i never got on board with this guy because he was just too boring, i mean..
he couldn't do ANYTHING in the ring...he'd just punch alot until it was leg-drop time. alot of hype.
i felt bad when The Rock had to carry him back at that Wrestlemania.
