I just don't understand what's happened to zombies nowadays, ever since 28 days later, zombies have to run faster than an Olympic sprinter, climb tall fences in a single bound, and knock the player out with a right hook that would made Muhammad Ali blush. To quote Simon Pegg; "Being dead is not a super power". I was hoping that they'd go back to the idea of a zombie's strength in numbers, not their undying determination to eat the player (sorry *ahem*). So far, Dead Rising has been the only next-gen survival horror game where zombies aren't the primary reason for concern, it's actually surviving for a set amount of time, savaging for food and ammo, and cooperating between survivors (...and killing zombies in really funny ways). As people have already stated, though, it's still quite early, and the it'd be ridiculous to judge a game that isn't even in demo format yet. But I just feel like this developer feels as though they HAVE to make it a fast-paced, in-your-face, call of duty type game, just because it's in first-person format (...that's my 2 cents anyway, I dunno).

.... so all the characters already look like zombies. And the main character is Akhbed The Dead Terrorist? "I keel you" seriously....

For anyone who has watched the video is not just the fact why do the try to knock your ass out before the ever go for the damn bite, im i mean really there zombies there not mike tyson here, you let one of them hit you just right and you'll be sitting five feet from the damn thing!

As a few others have said, it looks like a melee-focused Far Cry game to me. I can't say that I like the way they have the zombies rushing and throwing punches at the player, but there are so many different takes on zombies now that it's almost more rare to see classic Romero zombies than the agile, semi-thinking type. It doesn't look like a bad game, by any means, it just looks like the type of good game that I could easily pass over and not purchase because of the high number of must-buy AAA titles due out this fall/winter.

Is it just me or did the zombies seem more like they were trying to beat you up than eat you?

Not impressed with the game play. Looks like a low quality version of Dead Rising. I mean you can combine items to creates weapons, such as a baseball bat with nails. A blatant and obvious Dead Rising 2 rip off. If you're going to make a Zombie game, do it right.

Okay so can people stop saying this GTA L4D etc mashup bs..........sure its a free roam like GTA a lot of games are, sure it has zombies, a lot of games do......when you get the game yourself and play it then i think you can say that but until then........come on guys......also I don't know if that mashup thing would be such a bad idea anyway

The part where you break the window out seemed pretty cool to me, makes it more realistic knowing you might have to do that when you hit something too hard and it destroys the window

This game Looks like A Zombie Version of FAR CRY. The Characters,The Vehicles,The Gameplay, The Driving Controls. It all kinda reminds me of that game. Just an opinion! Its too hard to say for this game, i think i will just wait for the reviews. Until then I have LA. NOIRE, AND PORTAL 2 to keep me entertained. Have FUN GAMING EVERYONE!!!!!

I don't get why everyone else is saying this game is bad and are pointing out problems. This game is near the top of my list. It looks amazing though I'm really just in it for the blood. I love a game with lots of good looking blood, and a freeroam RPG to kill endless zombies with would be perfect. And if any of you are to lazy to look it up for yourselves and don't already know, you can be a dude.

I normally would not comment on a game, But I hope that you have an option to be a male character, not hating on you ladies and I know some guy's dig playing as a woman, but for me it totally ruins the immersive experience as a male, especially when it is a first person game where I want to be the character.... Maybe there already is this option and I am commenting prematurely...
