Be prepared for the pre-E3 rumor mill to crank into overdrive between now and the show on June 7-9. Today's rumor: Microsoft plans to unviel full stereo 3D for the Xbox 360 at the show.
“They’d be mad not to do it, is all I can say,” an unnamed source source told VG247. "The machine is not only very capable, it’s more capable than the PlayStation 3 of doing stereo, assuming you don’t have one of the old crappy ones with the composite leads… assuming you have a HDMI Xbox.”
In the past, Microsoft has said that its plan on 3D revolves around consumer demand. Basically, since the company is not trying to sell 3D TVs as well, they said they'd wait to see if anyone actually wanted "fully" three dimensional gaming before they started providing it.

@lowkevmic I don't agree with you. This will roll over and become a thing in the past. Sony will say something about it because thats what any company would do. No one knows what MS is doing but PS3 is looking really great this year with many exclusives. I think that Nintendo's press conference will be interesting because they have a new console to show off.
Maybe Microsoft will surprise us with something but as of right now, Microsoft is looking like they are gonna have the worst press con. We know stuff and rumors from Sony and Nintendo and the best we got from Microsoft is 3D....

anywho i say it will be good that all systems get some sort of tech upgrade i personlly would like a 3dtv for the advancement of technology. back when i thought i big screen tv would be good and didnt decide to go with a hdtv. my point is lets just upgrade i dont play the N6d or sega anymore theres a reason why we keep going further. I dont understand why people are now limiting what these systems can do i got the 3ds for reasons i havent thought of yet but hey its the future. COME ON VIRTUAL REALITY

I have 3D tv and after playing a ps3 3d game for a while, your eyes start to get tired. It's fun for while but I rather play normal way.

The 360 can't handle this stuff. Those weak DVDs will be too small to add this. I guess all 360 games can come on two or three DVDs.

I am also pretty sure that just like with the Kinect, if they do announce 3D it's probably already capable with the new consoles out now. Microsoft has always been good at planning ahead, why else do you think they were able to release the Kinect and even the first model consoles were already compatible to play it?? 3D is probably no different. But what good is 3D, when the majority of your game and movie library isn't 3D compatible, and not all consumers even have a 3D television??
MS whole angle is trying to create a consumer friendly product, so whatever they come out with you can use it with what you already own. Which is why their console is in stunning 1080i, so people wouldn't have to rush out and buy a new tv to enjoy it. So don't hold your breath on 3D being their big announcement. If anything, they will continue to ride this wave called the Kinect, and give the millions of people who own one some news on what to forward to by holiday season and early next year.

Why is there a big deal over this even a little bit? Bluntly, 3D games have already been on the 360 AND PS3. This isn't new news, and I don't blame G4 for reporting it, but I do blame whoever thinks that it's big enough news for G4 - or any gaming news outlet - to pick up on.

@liquidswords- As always, your PS3 fanboyism makes you sound as ridiculous as the word fanboyism. MS is not, nor have they even try and copy the PS3. Like the article states this is a rumor, even if it wasn't it's not as if Sony invented 3D and would've been the obvious direction for all consoles coming down the pipe. As for Hulu Plus that was announced when Netflix, Twitter, ESPN, Facebook, and all the other apps were first announced to come to the 360. They originally said it was coming soon in the near future.
As for any announcement MS has to make, I highly doubt if it would be any worse then the already down the drain presentation Sony is about to have. Which if they were smart, should change to a Q&A session with the President and CEO of Sony. Talking about about their future and the fate of their PSN. No one can care less about what new games are coming out for the PS3 or the move, and act as if their 171 million dollar security breech didn't happen.
If I can make any predictions, I will predict that Sony will do just that, act as if it didn't even happen. But no matter how they play it, Nothing they can reveal can bring them back to a place they were before. So Microsoft right about now can have all new game announcements, and it still would be a better presentation then Sony's.
As for MS and their 3D console announcement, I doubt it.

SNORE! Boring. I already have a console that does 3D perfectly, it is called a PS3 and I never use the 3D feature since it is pointless. It is pretty for a few minutes, and then you get bored of it. I only bought a 3D TV since it was a great TV at a great price that just happened to have the 3D feature.
Stop trying to shove 3D down our throats. We don't want it. This is why 3D TV's are not selling. This is why the 3DS has sold well below expectations. We could care less about 3D so stop trying to convince us to buy it.

things like this should be like move and kinect...an option. If someone is going to make a whole new console...for an option...it's a waste of money in my opinion...which is my main reason for not picking up a 3ds...why am I going to waste $200+ for a freakin option
