Horror affiandos and fans of iconic character licenses provided to video game manufacturers take notice: A game based on Chucky, diminutive doll-star of the the Child's Play series of slasher flicks, is planned for release on PC and consoles.
The first Chucky game is currently in development from TikGames, whose pedigree includes Cinema Tycoon, Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos and Flower Shop: Big City Break among others. It is planned for a fall release, and looks like downloadable title.
TikGames describe the game as a "Stealth-action romp*" that will find players inhabiting Chucky's skin and experiencing his exploits firsthand while "extending his gory legacy." Chucky will use "stealth and guile" to dispatch victims in different ways, and it will ultimately be up to the player to decide "how many (or few) people survive."
“We’re proud to be able to bring a fan-favorite movie character, such as Chucky, to gaming platforms,” said Alex Tikhman, Co-Founder and Vice President of Publishing for TikGames. “Fans have been asking for a Chucky game for years and, soon, gamers around the world will be able to enjoy highly-entertaining, interactive, downright gory experiences with this brand.”
* I find it strange that a game that seems to be about murdering people is described as a "romp."

A Nightmare on Elm St game for XBLA and PSN could be cool, maybe have two different story modes where you use stealth and traps to torture and kill victims and another mode where you play as a teenager trying to survive and kill Freddy. I think it wouldbe great if done right, maybe Tell Tale games could do it.

Not really a fan of a "stealth" kinda game, other than metal gear, but I don't see Chucky being a stealth kill game. Not sure, kinda sounds like "Naughty Bear" to me, and I didn't care much for that game. I could be wrong about this game, but i'm still gonna get my hands on this game though.
