Today is a red-letter day for complex, multi-layered games. We've been writing and talking about L.A. Noire all day here at G4, but there's another deep, serious game that just came out that should slake your thirst for mature gaming: The Witcher 2:Assassin of Kings. Not only is CD Projekt Red's PC-only title an immersive RPG, it's got a special feature: According to the game's developers, all the DLC for the game will be free. Totally gratis. No dollars and no cents.

The first free piece of Witcher 2 DLC is available today, in the form of a new side-quest called "Troll Trouble" that adds "90 minutes of additional gameplay," named 'Troll Trouble.'
This is the first in a planed quartet of DLC releases, and the company is also "planning various other goodies to help encourage everyone to register."
I haven't had a chance to check out the Witcher 2 beyond a too-short preview at last year's E3, but I'm really hoping to carve out some time to try it out soon. What about you guys? Anybody witching out there?
