what is the world coming to when we have to pre order something to play a DEMO! the whole point of the DEMO is to see if we wanna pre order it or not... this whole thing is backwards as hell
tamacula
Any game that forces a pre-order to get a look at it, is shaping up to be a disappointment.

one word.....GAMEFLY

Buying the PC and 360 versions.

Where is that demo at right now?
Pass.the.Doobie
Does that mean the game is really going to be crappy and they want everyone to own it before they play the demo so they cant get there money back if it does Suck???? going to check if gamestop has a return policy on preordered games . Wonder if i can return if demo sucks !
silent_deadly_6
For people who don't have the borderlands goty ( i do so it doesnt matter) or havnt pre-ordered duke nukem forever can still get in on the demo i think they just have to wait a little longer. Hopefully the demo is fun enough and maybe prove this game was worth such the long wait.

Are you people really that stupid? If you pre-order it, you don't have to buy it. You can actually, wait for it, CANCEL your pre-order after you get your demo code. I know for a fact gamestop will give the demo out when you pre-order from them, and if you don't like it, or just wanted to try it, just go and friggin get your money back on your pre-order
Simple.
animeandmangarule
cool about the demo, but it sucks you have to preorder it or buy borderlands I have considered buying both games but i've never preordered a game , I don't ever do that because i like to see a review of the game first , make sure it's as good as it 's suppose to be , dont wanna waste 60 dollars in advance if the game isn't good, they should release a demo for everyone even those who do not preorder it oh well.

So wait a minute...
the ONLY WAY to get the demo will be to either preorder Duke Nukem or buy Borderlands GoTY.
That doesn't make sense at all...
"Oh! I know what we'll do! We'll put a demo (which is typically used to get people excited for/interested in buying the game) out but only let people who ALREADY are going to buy it play it!"
That doesn't make sense.

There is NO WAY in hell I am buying that disaster of a game called Borderlands again. That game promised all kinds of stuff that it never delivered on. I hope they're not trying to measure this up to that nightmare of a game. The demo should be out 3 weeks to a month prior to game release not within the same week!

I'm a little disappointed in how this demo is being handled. I'm in the first access club, so I expected to try Duke Nukem before anyone else. I was thinking something along the lines of a demo before the demo. Now it turns out that it's the actual release demo that can also be accessed by preordering the game. They made a lot of hype about the first access club only to turn around and have people preorder their way into it. I really just think that the first access club was just hype, and there wasn't anything really exclusive to it.
I agree that a demo should be free in order to get people to buy the game, not the other way around.

Isn't the point of a demo to see if you want to pre-order or purchase the game?
incredible78
Bad choice. Demos should be available to anyone who wants to see how good the game really is before dropping $60 for either of the games.
Goddhand
What's the point of a demo you have to pre-order to play?
darkstar127
After all the delays and build up this game is guaranteed to be a huge flop. All in blind!

I'm heading down to gamestop to pay off the rest of my balls of steel edition tomorrow.

It says video no longer available... Also, the PC version of the demo is on steam right? Do I have to sign up for steam to gain access to it?
