Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has an official teaser trailer. Infinity Ward's FourZeroTwo released the video saying "Wasn’t planned, but you’re clearly hyped, so here is the 1st of many Modern Warfare 3 videos coming in hot today! #MW3" Details about the MW3 leaked so IW decided to release their trailer early. The video is only 35 seconds long and shows what looks like a missile hovering over New York Harbor.
If you're curious about the Russian at the end of the video, our source says it's a little tough to decipher but translates to something like: "One (or someone) will destroy their hope of victory."

Mkay well that was lame. Then there going to release other locals to get us excited, paris russia rio whatevs. The only reason I would even consider buying MW3 is if they bring back meaning ful camo like red tiger or blue tiger. MW is better than MW2, and BF3 will be better than MW3. Times they are a changin'

Hmm... interesting. Perhaps the people at Activision and Infinity Ward were hoping that this 'teaser' would get people excited. From the looks of things, I guess it didn't work as well as they hoped.
Either way, the teaser (IF you can really call it a teaser) still gets my attention mainly because it's set over New York. I'll still end up buying both Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 for the sake that both are good franchises.
But still... what's with the hate for MW3 just because of a lacking teaser? Does one teaser really generate that much hate? I say save it if they make a major screwup when they put the game out. But not until then, otherwise the hate may be unwarranted later if they actually pull this game off well.
