A mysterious Alien game from Creative Assembly was accidentally announced by the UK's Minister for Culture. Even though the cat's out of the bag alien's out of the chest, Creative Assembly is staying mum on the game. They aren't confirming a release year or what platforms it will be on. They are, as the Minister for Culture tweeted, hiring for an "Alien IP." The game will be an "action" game, but other than that, your guess is as good as mine.
Creative Assembly has previously worked on the series Total War. The game will be published by SEGA who has a partnership with Fox for the rights to use Alien. SEGA worked with Rebellion on Alien vs Predator (2010) and the missing in action Alien RPG from Obsidian. Rumors indicate this won't be just another shooter. Would it be too optimistic to hope for another go at an RPG?

strange that bulge wasn't in my pants before i began reading this article.to say that im highly anticipating the release of this game would be an understatement.aliens in any medium kills; bring it on.

Yeah make it like Borderland. Co-Op and suddenly being ambushed by a horde of Xenomorphs. Or walking around and the ground breaking from under and you fall into a nest @_@ eff that.

Strange, Creative Assembly is known for their PC strategy games, so I didn't expect them to make a game like this. Anyway, I'm intrigue as they are a talented developer.

So i saw a post for making it an RPG. After recently getting Borderlands i think that's what they should do as well as aim for some survival horror elements and some extremely scary environment like they did in the Dead Space series. Now add a few new features and boom good game potential :). If games like Borderlands and Dead Space sold so well, "borrow" some of their techniques and abuse them to hell and back. If it works, it works. I like the idea of being pioneers and all, but sometimes you just need something that's proven to work. Look at mcdonalds: their hamburgers are the same across the world, but yet they go and use new ideas. That's how developing a game with a huge fan-base to begin with should run. See what works and use it, then add a few new features to experiment with.

This appeared in a Game Informer years ago, and I was wondering were it went.

this is an easy one. Sci-fi Survival Horror game. Games like Dead space would have never existed without movies like Alien to inspire them

Can we play as Elen Ripley please?

I'm not surprised at all by this...I was sure they already said that after they canned those other games they were focusing on AVP and once that was out they'd start work on other "alien" games again
meh....must have been a dream....but if I was dreaming about corporate stuff relating to games....I need help...

I wonder if Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines is still going to come out.

Ok we need a cool new alien game.
BTW we need another Destroy all Humans Game those games were good and the gravity guns would translate great to a more powerful engine. God I miss that game. Kill the Hippies!!! Oh no KGB!!!

Awesome, let us all pray it doesn't suck, and has a mutliplayer, and you get to be an Alien, and there is Predator DLC, and there isn't any reference to Alien 3.
