Legendary mid 1990s RPG Chrono Trigger is finally getting released on the Nintendo Wii's virtual console. It's coming May 16. Mark your calendar.
The game, released originally for the SNES in 1995, is regarded by many as the greatest RPG of all time. It was written by Yuji Horii, creator of the Dragon Quest series, and features designs from Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama as well as a soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda.
I don't know who gets a better deal: Old hands who remember playing Chrono Trigger the first time around and can bask in nostalgia, or those who are experiencing the game's time-traveling adventure for the first time. So blow the dust off your Wii and get yourself Chrono Trigger--you'll thank me later, I promise.
If you'd rather play the game on a different platform, an ESRB rating suggest mobile and PSN versions could be on the way.
