Dark Souls, the follow-up (but not sequel) to cult favorite Demon Souls, will be released in October, which ensures a holiday season filled with frustratingly awesome, throw-your-controller difficulty.
The news comes by way of a just released trailer -- embedded below -- which shows off the game's impressive visuals and features a ton of painfully colorful deaths. Check it out:
Along with game's release window, Namco Bandai also revealed that a Limited Edition will be released. It features a fully illustrated guide book, a soundtrack CD, a collection of "Making Of" movies and an art book. If Dark Souls is anything like Demon Souls, you'll need that guidebook. -- Demon Souls was not for the faint-of-heart.
