Hitman Absolution has been confirmed, officially. Ads for the rumored Hitman 5 have been popping up all year. First there were rumors a Hitman reveal would take place at E3 and then Square Enix trademarked Hitman Absolution. All the rumors came together today as Square Enix has announced Hitman Absolution with a teaser trailer, emphasis on teaser. The trailer shows a gloved hand tightening a silencer, a rattlesnake slithering on the AMT Hardballer and then a bar code that reads 110706040147.

A new entry to the Hitman franchise is long overdue! A day one purchase for sure.
Missions such as the 'The Lee Hong Assasination' and 'Massacre at the WangFou Restaurant' made the earlier entries timeless classics.
I'm getting my piano wire out.....

Excited? Yeah, sure. I kinda soured on Hitman by the time Hitman: Contracts came out, but I played Hitman: Blood Money last summer and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It's not a great series, but it's fun and challenging, with an enigmatic character, good soundtracks, and a quirky sense of humor. Hitman: Absolution? Yeah, I'll play it.
