Blizzard Entertainment, developer of famous PC franchises Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo announced that they raised $800 thousand for the Make-A-Wish Foundation through the sale of the Moonkin Hatchling pet in World of Warcraft. The Moonkin Hatchling went on sale last November for two months in the Blizzard Store for only $10 and 50% of its proceeds went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

According to Make-A-Wish, on World Wish Day, April 29, two World of Warcraft fans got the chance to visit Blizzard's headquarters in Irvine, California. They got to take a behind-the-scenes look at WoW's development and according to this video got a sketch from some of the talented artists on Blizzard's staff.

"We've had a long relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and are proud to help contribute to the great work they do for children," said Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're also proud of the spirit and generosity of our players – their enthusiasm for World of Warcraft and for supporting a good cause made this donation possible."

Did you happen to buy a Moonkin Hatchling pet last year? I bought one almost the second they went on sale and absolutely love mine. He's so cute, and went towards a great cause.
