Call of Duty: Black Ops' second map pack, Escalation, was released today for the Xbox 360 and we've got a video walkthrough of each of the four new maps: Hotel, Convoy, Zoo, and Stockpile, as well as a gameplay video of zombie-filled Call of the Dead experience.
Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia said, “We took the community’s feedback to heart, and the result is five of the most creative and varied maps we have ever made." So without further ado, Escalation.
Seize The Zoo
Zoo puts you in an abandoned Soviet Russian Zoo. There are no animals, but you will be running for your life trying to get up to the highest point and nail snipes against fellow players. Keep an eye out for the monorail line in the video, it's cool.
Secure the Convoy
Convoy pits players in the remnants of a collapsed overpass. In this map you'll be faced with tons of close quarters combat in the midst of a U.S. military convoy. The key to victory in Convoy is to use the terrain to your advantage.
Take the Hotel
Hotel takes place on a roof of a luxurious Cuban hotel and casino in old Havana. In order to succeed in Hotel, which still has all of its glorious fixtures and none of its fabulous customers, is to set a variety of traps to trick your opponents.
Raid the Stockpile
Stockpile drops players down in a remote Russian farm town that is secretly housing weapons of mass destruction. To emerge as the victor you're going to have to take the town square and lock down a stockpile of goods, or to defend it from sabotage.

Stop hating on COD. I don't like a lot of other games like WOW, DA, etc but I'm not hating on them. Different strokes for different folks. Take the best and leave the rest, its all relative. Play what you like people! Can't we get along? Ok... I'm out of cliches, lol.

Looks good but I don't think it's worth $15. This map pack is only worth the money if you are a person who plays the game almost every day.

If I may point out a historical inaccuracy...
The Hotel level has casinos in it, but it also takes place in post-revolutionary Cuba. After the revolution succeeded on January 1, 1959, all casinos were deemed illegal, and most slot machines were destroyed. Therefore, there would be no casinos in Havana when this game takes place.
Also, that hotel is likely modeled after the Hotel Riviera (built by American mafioso Meyer Lansky). Those type of hotels were not in Old Havana, but rather Vedado, the newer, more luxurious part of Havana.

video gaming has gotten so retarded these days, COD is a good example of that.IW went down the toilet, Bob Kock-it milking the billions he is making . adam west and zampalla leaving with the class action 14 lawsuit... i threw away black ops and MW2.. gamers are a bunch of stupid retards these days. not to mention the ones who make the games.... get a life nerds, get a job, stop living in your mom basement, get treatment for ADHD..etc

Bought it and having quite a bit of fun. Call of the dead is now my favorite zombie scenario in the game. And buffy can kick some zom-bitch ass

Not really a fan of zombie mode, and while a couple of the maps show promise (like Zoo), others maps looks like blatant rip-offs from previous Modern Warfare games (eg. Hotel looks exactly like Rooftop from MW2, with a slightly different skin).
Im sure CoD veterans who know other maps backwards will be able to spot level/skin overlays from previous games.
In short, worth an extra 25% of the cost of a full game for the minimal effort to pull this together? I dont think so. PASS.

@4theloveofgames - If i were to guess a month after may/3 i think it was a planned 1 month exclusive or something like that im not 100% about that tho.
bought the pack this morning very fun maps, very open tons of variety in buildings and terrian,havent tried CotD yet but will soon...for someone who has not played cod in months(bout 2) this might bring me back every couple days or so good job treyarch!!only downside so far is the xbox exclusivity and how stockpile TDM auto turns into king of the hill.
