Mortal Kombat is awesome so far! I just found a blog that's giving out the preorder DLC for all the costumes, and the new Kenshi character DLC!

I just got my Reptile Klassic Kostume but I don't know if there's anymore keys left. If you want to check it out, here's the site:

For all of the people laughing at those of us who pre-ordered Portal 2, allow me to share my experience. I put in my pre-order at Amazon weeks in advance of the games release and as an added bonus of buying the game at $55, Amazon added in a $20 credit to my account. Great right? I get an amazing game for essentially $35. Now less than two weeks after the games release the asking price has been cut to $35. Seeing this I contacted Amazon's customer support and asked if given the significant price drop so close to release if they would credit my account for the difference. The result? I'm a day one owner of Portal 2 for basically $15.

The moral is day one adopters don't always get the short end of the stick when it comes to price changes. All it takes is a few minutes effort to send out a clear, respectful, and skilled email to customer support.

Best Buy has Portal 2 for $39.99 also. That K-Mart deal is good but I don't have many around me anymore and they never seem to have much when I go to one store I know of.

Oh, I learned years ago to never preorder. Games will not be in that short supply you can't get it. And by waiting a few weeks you're guaranteed to save at least $20 if not more. And that doesn't even require you to buy used as they take longer to drop in price for some reason. Hell, of the 100+ PS3 games I've gotten very few were bought at full price, and those few usually came with some kind of bonus or special deal to make it worthwhile. Like the special edition of LBP2 or the free GH Van Halen with GH5.

I'm beginning to question why I pre-order my favorite games when it seems that they'll be $15 off in just 2 weeks...

That's still not low enough to reintroduce the Steam virus to either my PS3 or PC. And we all know CoD sucks ass so that's out. Oh well, another week to catch up on the backlog. Gotta hurry because the rest of this year is going to add a lot to the pile.
