A lawsuit filed in New York earlier this week accuses pop star Beyonce of abandoning a video game venture, and asks for $100 million dollars in restitution.
According to the complaint, developers Gate Five and Beyonce were teaming up to create and publicize a motion-enable dance game called "Starpower: Beyonce," a project the singer "abruptly abandoned," according to the suit.
The lawsuit alleges Beyonce destroyed Gate Five's business and drove it's employees into unemployment on Christmas week "on what appeared to be a whim."
In an interview with New York Magazine, Gate Five founder Greg Easley said: "In early December everything was still a go. And then the week of Christmas, she said that's it, I don't want to hear from you guys, go away, resulting in 70 people losing their jobs."
Gate Five says their company lost $6 million due to Beyonce's actions, and further, the company would like $100 million in profits they say they would have made, had the Beyonce game actually come out.

Seems very odd that she would just abruptly leave as stated, unless of course she is just that big of a bitch, which in that case I understand then. Also, does it always take close to 5 months for a lawsuit to be created? Or is that only the case when the company can't figure out how to word their attempt to sue someone for something they've blown out of proportion?

On one hand the game probably would have been shovel ware and the world could do without it.

wow its not cool that 70 people lost there job on christmas weekend because she just decided she didnt want to do it anymore but the fact that they think that it would have brought in 100M in profiles is complete bull the only people that would have brought it is little girls that have Wii's the most they could have made in profiles would be 7M tops
