THE BELOW POST CONTAINS PORTAL 2 AND HALF LIFE 2: EPISODE 2 SPOILERS!
If marriage was open to any couple in the U.S., I would marry Portal 2. That's how much I love Valve's first-person puzzler, and the video below the "Read More" tag is part of why.
(Please stop reading now unless you're ok with SPOILERS for both Portal 2 and Half Life 2: Episode 2.)
Do you remember that part of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 where the research vessel Borealis is discussed? According to the dialogue, it was Aperture Science's project of "some promise" that "compromised ordinary standards of risk" and "vanished with all hands." Guess who found it? Me. It was in Portal 2 the whole time. Specifically, it was at the bottom of Aperture Science's massive factory, just hanging out.
You can find the Borealis too! Just check out the below video for a look at the game-world-crossing-video of epic proportions.
(For the third time: SPOILERS, ahoy!)

i Just noticed, while leaving the dock as you walk out, the door is broken down.on the back of the door it looks like a code sigh whatever but it says B9- (what looks like an "I") s. does anyone know if this has any significance?

lol i love this, im playing the game right now and i just found this place so i looked it up to see what people said

I don't get why he said he found the Borealis, all he did is find the dry dock.

dang it! i just passed that area earlier today! ive been looking everywhere for easter eggs, and i even tried to get to that door, but i must have hit the box when i jumped. cuz i didnt get over there. sad face.
ive been trying to rap my head around the time period both games are set in. it seems that half life is set in a current day setting, seeing that the original was, and characters have aged accordingly. but portal, i have no idea. aperture science was being run by cave during the 40s and 50s, and obviously they continued to feud with mesa till the naughts. and portal 2 seems to be set way in the future. ahh my head...

I can't wait for a Half-Life sequel. people have been waiting for to long. to hell with Doda 2 or whatever.
Also, I wonder who those people were. Glados said she saw people when she went to the surface to try to see a deer. Maybe you eventually find out. I still haven't beat Portal 2 yet.

The Borealis isn't found, However the Dry dock they are talking about is...
As for Graphics... WHO CARES
Both consoles look like junk in comparison to the PC version and you don't see the PC people coming out and belittling the PS3 due to the fact that is is inferior to the PC do ya?
They are to busy PLAYING GAMES while they let others complain and troll about nothing
Stellerman7
The title is rather misleading, you don't find the borealis in portal 2, you find a docking section where the borealis was once kept.
JMannWannabe
I like that. It adds a certain level of wonder and mystery. Wished that I had Portal 2.
TheBRADLeyB
Who cares about the graphics in Portal 2? If you let Portal 2 be dampened because the graphics aren't 'Super realistic' then you have a problem with your head.
And PS3 can have all the graphics they want, who is buying the video games? Xbox 360 Users. So what does it say when you have the better Hardware and STILL can't beat Xbox Game Sales?
(which is funny because it's pretty much the exact opposite of what it was during the PS2/Xbox era)
