We recently got some hands-on time with the much anticipated Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer at Sony's E3 Sneak Peek event. The event revealed that Drake can now sprint, along with several other features and a few very well balanced maps. From Kevin Kelly's Uncharted 3 preview:
"Naughty Dog gets big bonus points for constructing and balancing this map extremely well. There is no perfect spot to be in, and every sniper's nest or turret location has multiple access points, and just when you think you're in a perfect spot, someone will blast you immediately from behind or yank you off of the edge you're standing too close to. Multiple tiers, a zip line, the turrets, and the environmental effects all combine to make this a great map, especially for the newly introduced Three Team Deathmatch mode. One other note: since the level is on fire, you'll see burning embers throughout the map. These glow bright red, and look uncannily like the grenade warning indicators. Meaning you'll be freaking out a lot thinking that you're about to explode."

As a frequent player of Uncharted 2, I can say I'm very impressed by what I've seen of Uncharted 3's multiplayer so far. I love the new maps (especially the Airstrip), the enhanced cinema features allowing us to upload gameplay footage to Facebook/Youtube, and how they added the option to customize and personalize our characters. Also love how they added treasure collecting and a buddy system to online matches, adding a new layer of gameplay to it. However, I do have a few things from U2 I don't want to see returning in U3:
1) Players who spam the jump button, moving around like crazy rabbits, dodging all your bullets when shot at. I'm hoping they apply the sprint tire to jumping, so as to end that nuisance.
2) The two second lag delay that always gets you killed even though you swear to god you were nowhere near the spot your enemy was shooting at. It sucks when you have already moved 5 feet past the corner of a building, only for an enemy's bullets to strike the air you were at seconds before and still manage to get the kill. I know lag is always going to be part of any online game, but a constant two second delay ought to be fixable, right?
3) The spawns. I don't think anybody enjoys being spawned in front of a tank, on top of a grenade, or in front of their enemy's line of fire. I read that you can respawn next to your buddy in matches, so perhaps that will solve the issue.
As long as problems like that don't make a return, it'll be much more fun to play. Looking forward to future details, and can't wait to play in the beta.
