There is a perfect storm of games this week as Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, SOCOM 4 and Conduit 2 all hit store shelves. We talked about SOCOM 4 on last week's episode of Feedback, so this time we're wormholing deep into Portal 2 and finding out if Mortal Kombat is worth the fatality. Or even the babality.
Adam is back in the captain's chair this time around, along with the always delightful Morgan Webb who valiantly reviewed Portal 2 for us, Jake Gaskill freshly returned from Utah where he attended Bethesda's BFG event, and even Donell "Diablo" Tucker in his inaugural apprearance as a part of the Feedback team. Donell has been up to his eyeballs in Mortal Kombat, so pay attention to what he has to say.
Following along in the home version? Here's your handy guide to what went on:
- It's the absolute, final round of Videogame Deatchmatch! Get over there and vote!
- Valve's Potato Sack Portal 2 Promotion. Was it the coolest thing ever? Or incredibly lame?
- Bethesda's BFG had new content for Skyrim, Rage, and even more to come.
- Portal 2 takes up a lot of our time, and for good reason. Find out why.
- Mortal Kombat surprised us by returning to its roots.
- And they talk about the Wii 2 rumors that have been circling the internet! Is there a shred of truth to them?
Feedback: Where our customized Portal Gun opens up a wormhole directly into your heart.

I wasn't even thinking of getting Portal 2 but after hearing great review from friends and watching youtube videos I change my mind. I was going to get either Socom 4 or Mortal Kombat, but now I'm getting Portal 2

Great Feeback not soo much for Johnny Cage.
Yeah its pretty sad that Nintendo can't compete with the same level of games and quality that a next generation system has, PS3/360/PC. You have games like Battlefield 3, Skyrim, L.A Noire, Uncharted, Gears of Wars all coming would be hard for any gamer to choosing or wanting a Wii over what these platforms have to offer.
The motion controls what made it unique/ fresh experience at the start is over, people are past that and now PS3,360 are involved in motion control now.
I want to see Nintendo to get better and they only chance is they have to realize a next gen system directly competing with Microsoft and Sony. They also have to start investing in new franchises and while Mario and Zelda are great you cant rely them to carry a whole system forever.
Give the Nintendo fans what they want, high quality system with high quality games that can compete with the AC, Mass effects,Dragon Ages, Battlefields ect... because right now there is no comparison to even talk of.

Kind of off topic but it would be nice if someone could answer this.
I read that Valve said Portal 2 mods would be accessible on the PS3 via steamworks, is this true? I just beat the game and there does not appear to be a download option for mods. Yes I know the game is only a day old but Im just curious where the option is?

Played Portal 2 ALL NIGHT! Then I aced my Algebra exam this morning! Never even studied... I swear Portal helped me pass it. :-)

I'm liking Portal 2 but I'm more than halfway through the single player campaign after one night of playing, I wouldn't mind that so much if the cost of the game was less.
GameScorch
Awesome as it ever is.

I love this.

I picked up both and cant stop playing them!
tezrek
Both...why would anyone not play both?
Liquid Swords
Both. With a free PC/Mac copy and Steam integration on the PS3 version of Portal 2 and Kratos in the PS3 version of Mortal Kombat, both of those games are best played on the PS3.
