Gears of War 3 has opened its multiplayer beta to gamers who bought Bulletstorm's Epic Edition. Of course the elite, like myself, have already been playing the beta since last week. Epic estimates one million people will take part in the beta.
Epic's Rod Fergusson spoke with Eurogamer about the importance of the beta. “[People] take it for granted. That was one of our biggest problems with Gears 1 to Gears 2. Your memory is far better than reality,” Fergusson said. “With Gears 2 we were competing with the memory of Gears 1 and what people remembered it was like.” Hopefully, the feedback from beta will make sure this is the most polished and well received Gears yet.
